Job Title: Operations and Projects Coordinator

Location: Zimbabwe (site-based)

Company Overview
Our client is a well-established gold-processing operation in Zimbabwe. It is a practical, hands-on business where the management team works closely with staff on site.

Role Overview
This is a hands-on, site-based role working closely with the mine's senior management. The Coordinator will manage procurement and stores, run site projects, and help keep day-to-day operations moving. They will also make sure tasks are followed through without being chased.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement: obtain quotations, source suppliers, arrange approved purchases and deliveries, and follow up orders to prevent shortages
• Stock control: oversee stores, conduct stocktakes, investigate discrepancies and plan replenishment of chemicals, fuel, consumables and spare parts
• Project supervision: oversee staff and contractors on assigned site projects, organise materials and tasks, monitor workmanship and costs, and make sure jobs are completed on time
• Operational support: help resolve practical site issues, follow through on agreed tasks and keep management updated on progress and anything needing attention

Requirements

• Experience in mining, engineering, processing or an industrial environment
• Experience supervising people
• Good procurement and stock-control skills
• Practical mechanical understanding
• Basic spreadsheet skills
• Valid driving licence

Preferred Experience

• Previous site-based role on a mine or processing plant
• Track record of managing stores and site projects
