Our client in the agriculture industry in Tanzania is recruiting an Assistant Farm Manager for their operations in the Southern Highlands. The Assistant Farm Manager will oversee daily field operations, large-scale mechanized logistics, and labor forces across a commercial agricultural estate. The successful candidate will systematically train to fully deputize for the Farm Manager during absences, assuming complete operational and field management responsibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a formal Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or Agricultural Engineering.
• Absolute professional fluency in both English and Swahili is mandatory to communicate effectively with executive management and local field labor forces alike.
• High level of proficiency in MS Office systems, specifically Microsoft Excel for data logging, asset tracking, and inventory control, and Microsoft Word for formal report generation.
• Demonstrated background in large-scale, mechanized commercial crop production, with a strong understanding of high-horsepower tractor operation, implement calibration, precision farming and regenerative soil management principles.
