Job Description:
ENGINEERING MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Our client in the mining sector is looking for a technically strong Engineering Maintenance Planner to plan and coordinate maintenance and project work across fixed and mobile plant, ensuring work is properly scoped, resourced and executed efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop detailed maintenance and project job plans, work instructions and material requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with operations, procurement and contractors.
- Manage work orders, equipment history and asset data through the CMMS.
- Coordinate spares, purchase requisitions and parts kitting ahead of planned work.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and drive improvements in equipment reliability and availability.
- Inspect maintenance and construction work against schedules, specifications and regulations.
- Verify plant equipment, piping and materials against contracts and specifications.
- Prepare work packages incorporating SOPs, permits and JSAs.
- Prepare progress, management and technical reports.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
- CMMS certification is required; Quality Management certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in mining, heavy industry or manufacturing.
- Demonstrable experience planning and managing multidisciplinary work.
- Knowledge of CMMS/EAM platforms and MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Strong technical report writing and ability to interpret technical specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong time management, prioritisation and analytical skills.
