Property Officer
Job Description:
PROPERTY OFFICER
We are looking for a commercially astute and results-driven Property Officer to manage property-related matters, engage with local authorities, and support the organisation's property acquisition and expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with local councils, government authorities, and relevant regulatory bodies on property and land-related matters.
- Identify and assess opportunities for the acquisition of new land and properties to support business expansion.
- Conduct property searches, due diligence, negotiations, and coordinate acquisition processes.
- Manage relationships with property owners, agents, councils, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor property portfolios, leases, rates, permits, and other statutory requirements.
- Provide commercial and market insights to support property investment and expansion decisions.
- Identify opportunities to optimise existing properties and improve their commercial value.
- Support feasibility assessments, budgeting, and business cases for new property developments and acquisitions.
- Ensure all property transactions and developments comply with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Real Estate, Property Management, Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in property management, property acquisition, real estate, or a related commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of local council processes, land acquisition, property regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Demonstrable business acumen with strong commercial, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities, negotiate effectively, and drive property expansion initiatives from concept through to execution.
- A valid driver's licence is an added advantage.
