Job Purpose

The Corporate Services & Banking Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and processing of transactions for a portfolio of international client entities, including Global Business Companies (GBCs), Authorised Companies, SPVs, trusts and foundations.

The role will also involve coordinating with Management Companies, banks, client Relationship Managers and relevant authorities to ensure that transactions, corporate documentation, KYC requirements and statutory matters are handled accurately and within the required timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing and Monitoring

Process and monitor payment instructions for client accounts, ensuring that transactions are handled accurately and securely.

Manage and follow up on Trade Finance transactions, including Letters of Credit, Bills for Collection and other related banking transactions.

Ensure transactions are processed within agreed timelines and service standards.

Follow up regularly with banks, Management Companies and other parties to avoid delays in processing.

Track outstanding transactions and escalate delays or issues when required.

Maintain proper supporting records and documentation for transactions processed.

Corporate Administration

Assist with the incorporation, setup and ongoing administration of Global Business Companies, Authorised Companies, SPVs, trusts and other corporate structures.

Coordinate with the Management Company, client-side Relationship Managers, bank Relationship Managers and other relevant parties on documentation and administrative requirements.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records for the entities under administration.

Follow up on statutory and corporate requirements to ensure that deadlines are met.

Banking Administration

Coordinate bank account opening and ongoing banking matters for client entities.

Liaise with banks regarding account documentation, transactions, compliance requirements and other operational matters.

Follow up on outstanding banking requests and ensure that matters are resolved within reasonable timelines.

Maintain regular communication with bank Relationship Managers and operational teams where required.

KYC and Client Due Diligence

Handle KYC and Client Due Diligence documentation for new and existing client entities.

Review documents before submission to banks, Management Companies or other relevant parties to ensure that files are complete and up to date.

Follow up for missing, expired or additional documentation where required.

Assist with periodic KYC reviews and ongoing compliance requirements.

Ensure that client documentation is maintained in line with applicable AML/KYC requirements and internal procedures.

Corporate Secretarial Support

Prepare corporate resolutions, minutes of meetings and other company documentation as required.

Maintain statutory registers and corporate records in coordination with the Management Company.

Assist with statutory filings and other corporate administrative matters when required.

Liaison and Coordination

Liaise with Management Companies, banks, client Relationship Managers, corporate back-office teams and other external parties.

Coordinate with relevant Mauritian authorities and regulators, including the Financial Services Commission where necessary.

Follow up on pending documentation, approvals, transactions and regulatory requirements.

Keep the relevant internal parties updated on the status of outstanding matters.

Qualifications and Experience

University degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Law, Accounting or a related field.

3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a Mauritian Management Company, Corporate Services provider, financial institution or Global Business environment.

Experience in corporate administration, banking transactions, KYC/CDD documentation or international business structures would be preferred.

Experience with Trade Finance transactions, particularly Letters of Credit and Bills for Collection, would be an advantage.
